MOSCOW, 23th November. During 5th Economic summit held in Ashgabat Afghanistan and Turkmenistan agreed to spread economical and trade cooperation.
Minister of Finance Eklil Hakimi, minister of Energy Ali Akhmad Usmani, minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Mohamadulla Batash and Presidentï¿½s adviser for Economic Affairs Humayun Kayumi attended the event from Afghan side. After the summit Afghanistan and Turkmenistan representatives signed memorandum of understanding on trade expansion, agriculture, transport and telecommunication cooperation.
As the Ministry of Finance speaker Adjmal Abdul Rahimzai told to journalists, in the near future 6th Economic summit will take place. Details of joint project will be discussed during the event coming. In particular, Afghanistan will purchase wheat from Turkmenistan, he added.
Recently Afghanistan and Turkmenistan signed MoU in trade, economic, finance, energy, sports and IT cooperation.
