MOSCOW, 16th October. Speaking at the Council of CIS State Leaders, Vladimir Putin expressed dismay at Afghanistan security situation.
The situation there is nearly critical. Terrorists from various groups become more and more influential and make no secret about their plans to expand their influence in Central Asia, Russian president stated.
All Central Asia countries must be ready to cooperate against this blueprint, Vladimir Putin added.
Discussing Islamic State group that estimates 5-7 thousands of Russian and CIS natives, he expressed deep concern about their possible return to Russia and putting to use experience gained in Syria. Such possibility is unacceptable, he insisted.
Therefore, continuous cooperation of CIS contries, intelligent services and Counterterrorism CIS center is required, as his words were summarized by official Russian president internet site.
