MOSCOW, 16th October. Russia is looking forward to help Afghanistan in its fight with terrorism, Russian ambassador in Afghanistan Alexander Mantytsky said.
He has made such statement during meeting with Mohammad Hanif Atmar, adviser of Afghan president on national security. Destabilization and terroristic security threats in Afghanistan, particularly the ISIS one, were the main topics of their discussion.
Participants agreed that Islamic State group is willing to spread its influence in the region and that Afghanistan needs international help to stand against terrorism. Alexander Mantytsky expressed readiness to fight terrorism by all means on behalf of Russia.
Last Sunday Russian envoy also held talks with Afghan minister of foreign affairs Salahuddin Rabbani. Similar statements were made by Russian representative during these talks. Salahuddin Rabbani also expressed gratitude for Russian help in education field and asked for further cooperation.
