MOSCOW, 7th October. Russian ministry of foreign affairs made a statement that recent NATO airstrike at Kunduz hospital was a cruel violation of international law.
Saturday, during the special operation against insurgents NATO aviation attacked hospital where more than 80 medics of Doctors Without Borders international organization and 100 patients were located. The attack left more than 20 killed and more than 40 wounded. As Russian MFA official M.V. Zakharova stated, there were no insurgents inside the hospital.
One might also question why the airstrike was performed taking into consideration that hospital coordinates were given to NATO forces earlier to avoid such tragic casualities, she added.
Russian Federation offers condolences to airstrike victims and their relatives and demands to investigate tragic incident in Kunduz and punish those found responsible.
