MOSCOW, September 15th. Collective Security Treaty Organization session was hold in Dushanbe. The 'Islamic State' presence in Afghanistan was one of the main topics of the meeting.
As Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon stressed, thousands of people become victims of the 'Islamic State' group activities throughout the Middle East. After Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iraq the group came to Afghanistan. It could worsen situation with security, religious extremism and drug smuggling in Afghanistan, he added.
Members of CSTO called for international community help with the 'Islamic State' problem, as it is stated in the CSTO resolution from September, 15th.
Colonel General Anatoliy Sidorov was named the Chief of Staff of CSTO allied headquarters after Alexander Studennikov. Several agreements concerning collective aviation forces deployment and military loading transport were also signed during the meeting.
Next session of CSTO will take place in Erevan during the second half of the year 2016.
