September 07th, Moscow. Afghan first vice-president Abdul Rashid Dustum claimed that Russia could help Afghanistan to tackle regional threats.
Speaking at the press-conference in Kabul General Dustum has said that Islamic State (IS) group intends to destabilize Caucasia, Russia and Central Asia, as it was done in Iraq and Syria before. He also added that there is considerable number of Chechen and Uzbek natives among IS fighters.
Therefore General Dustum is looking forward to obtain some military equipment from Russia. Afghan forces are in dire need for helicopters, aviation and other supplies, as his speech was quoted by TOLOnews agency
Recently special envoy of Russian president in Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov has declared that Russia could provide military equipment for Afghanistan if USA is ready to fund such programs.
