Azerbaijan’s Emergency Situations Minister Colonel-General Kemaleddin Geidarov met with an Afghan delegation led by Interior Minister Ghulam Mujtaba Patang on Tuesday, says Azeri Ministry’s website.
During the meeting Geidarov informed the guests about the ministry and its structures, as well as projects implemented by the ministry. He also informed about the ministry’s work aimed at promoting ties with regional and international organizations and relevant government structures that have gained broad experience in disaster management.
The Afghan Interior Minister emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between relevant government structures of the two countries.
The two sides also discussed prospects for training relevant Afghan officials at the Academy of the Azeri Emergency Situations Ministry.
After the meeting, the members of the delegations visited the ministry’s Disaster Management Centre.
