Azizullah Karzai, who has been appointed as the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Russian Federation, has taken office.

According to the “Afghanistan.Ru” news portal, on the eve, the Afghan diplomat met with Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Aleksei Bordavkin. During the meeting, Azizullah Karzai presented a copy of his credentials to the Deputy Foreign Minister. The two sides discussed bilateral issues during the meeting at the Russian foreign ministry.

Earlier, Azizullah Karzai occupied various diplomatic posts, including an aide to the Afghan Foreign Minister and the ambassador to Saudi Arabia and the Czech Republic.

The former ambassador of the IRA to the RF, Zamlai Aziz ended his mission in Moscow in May.
